1/2 block of tempeh crumbled
4 cloves of garlic (minced)
2 slices of bread (toasted, then minced)
a fair amount of fresh herbs like: basil, thyme, oregano, & rosemary (all minced)
1/2 cup of olive oil
salt & pepper to taste
throw dry ingredients into a hot pan, then add the olive oil. Toast until golden in color. Then, toss your favorite pasta in your favorite red pasta sauce, and then top with "The Topping" & some chopped fresh parsley.
TCV has been making this for over 10 years and it never gets old. It is hearty and crunchy and delicious. In fact, the wife loves this dish more than any other. Even among all the fancy, she loves this down-home pasta best.
