At the Grow Memphis dinner at Interim on Tuesday Melissa pulled me aside and quietly told me that she has just finished the new Edible Memphis website. I was so excited that I pulled it up on my phone immediately. It is beautiful. Go see for yourself:

Cool. I'll check it out...on the last post, I have yet to try eggplant bacon, but it's on my to-do list.
Lots of stuff is vegan though! MSFarms products not so much. But Lightlife makes yummy veggie bacon, though I prefer homemade tempeh bacon. Cheaper and less processed. The only vegan products by MS Farms are the BBQ ribs, the chicken and beefy strips, the vegan burger (duh!), and the ground burger crumbles.
I'm so proud that you're doing this vegan before 6 p.m. thing. And I like the name — VB6.
I try to eat more vegan than vegetarian these days too, which really isn't that hard after being a vegetarian for so long - it's a natural and easy progression to bring in dairy about 1/3 of the time instead of every meal. Even though I doubt if I'll ever be a 'strict' vegan, it's usually vegans I look to for cooking ideas. (Besides you, chubby v.) I actually prefer vegan cookbooks over vegetarian b/c I think they are more creative and inventive.
